2016 Chateau Argadens

Back to Bordeaux tonight, with a very abordable Bordeaux Supérieur produced by the Sichel family (Angludet, and Palmer part owner).

Very nice traditionnal and classic style red from Bordeaux. And nicely influenced by the 2016 vintage. Black and red fruits, nice spicy oak, blackcurants, light vegetal touch of cedar. Mouth is nicely balanced, medium body, fresh, tanic, sligthly austere. But also with very good cabernet fruit (even if only 32 % of the blend). Serious merlot blackberries. Excellent and i can just say the Bordeaux still produces excellent quality wines at a great price. Tn: 89.

Congratulations to the Sichel family. When you think seriously about it, i wish that the Sichel will make enough money to buy some other Chateaux, as they produce very classical traditionnal Bordeaux.
