BWE France 2022
Alex, I know May is a holiday month in France, but if you had to pick a week in May 2022, what would it be?
Re: BWE France 2022
Hi Jim,
Tha week starting on Monday, May 16th 2022 looks good to me.
Two public holidays, the 1st (French Labor Day) and the 8th (VE Day) fall on a Sunday, which leaves the week clear.
The week starting on Monday the 23rd is the worst because Thursday is a holiday (Ascencion Day), and a large percentage of the population will also take the Friday off to make a long weekend.
All the best,
Alex

Hopefully not relevant for a trip planned a year from now, but ugh:
“From midnight on March 19th, 2021, 21m people in France will enter a new month-long lockdown, on top of a nationwide curfew that has been in place since January 16th.”

I'll never forget the first call, from the guy at Vieux Chateau Certan, half in French, he was the first one to cancel on us, just about a year ago.
Then Lafite, then the rest.... Man, that was a dark time. A year later, France is just as shut down, if not more.
