BWE DC 2021

Post by JimHow »

I will let Stefan pick the dates.
It looks like I'm going to be in a murder trial in the first half of September.
What about late September, or any time in October?
I get together with my old law school buddies in Boston the first Friday in November each year, so that weekend is not good for me.

How about the first weekend in October? Lisa and I would like to go but the last weekend of September is out for us.

Jim - how about the weekend of September 18-19th? Is that late enough for you?

October tends to be a nicer month weather wise in DC than September, is my two cents...first weekend in October sounds good to me

First weekend in October sounds good to me.
The trial should be done by Sept 18th but it might be a little close.

Both of those weekends work for me as well, but early October is probably the better of the two

September is certainly good for us. Probably the first weekend in October is OK.

I think the weekend of October 1-3 would be good. The next weekend is a Holiday weekend so probably not as good.

Are we locked and loaded enough to buy tickets? I can fly non-stop SFO/IAD using only 25K miles per person or paying under $400 each.

As I am not supposed to reply to the new thread since it is used for clear yes only. I will use this old one.
I am in the area, and would love to meet up with you guys. However, it is not going to be possible for me to dedicate a whole weekend.
A lot of things are in the air, my likely biggest thing in life will likely happen early September, at this point I can't confirm anything but my wish is to meet up with you guys. If possible I would love to participate by dropping in for a short part of it if I can, if that is acceptable.
Thank you!
Best, Dan

Hey Dan, sounds like you are getting married or something!
The weekend will consist of a Friday night and Saturday night dinner, let us know in the other thread if/when you know you can join us for either or both events. No pressure at all. Usually we schedule a Thursday night dinner as well but I think, coming out of the pandemic, we'll keep it to just Friday/Saturday night for this time. There is no dedicating to a whole weekend. Some of us who have been together on this site for up to 20+ years get together for lunch, oysters, going to MacArthur's etc., but really, the main events are the Friday and Saturday dinners, and there is no need to attend both, although you are certainly welcome to. The Saturday night dinner is usually the main convention dinner when people pull out the crazy stuff.
