BWE visitors from a strange and exotic land come to Maine.

Post by JimHow »

Thrilled to have Howard (HM$), Lisa, and Finley on the back deck here in Lewiston.
We had lobster rolls, whoopee pies, and a 2008 Cristal on a splendid summer afternoon after some rugged weather this week.
Safe travels back to Texas, Howard and the gang!

Nice when BWE'ers can get together. Good to see HM$ and Lisa almost in person again, and I think first time seeing Finley.

Nice! I can't see the 2008 Cristal with whoopee pies, but new combinations are always worth a try.

Great to see BWEers getting together in real life!

Everyone looks good but we're jealous still unable to cross the border. Looking forward to getting out of this mess sooner than later.

What could be lobster rolls and Cristal? Maybe the crab cakes with lime/mango tartar sauce and grand cru Burg that was enjoyed by us with son in town finally! ;)

No, they have been in the northeast for like three weeks, I think, traveling from NYC, Newport, Boston, Portland, finally arriving here in Mecca on their last day. HM$ has arrived finally in my cellar. I have known the Spectors for over 20 years through BWE, they are as good people as I know. We had fun, they were acting as mock jurors on my upcoming murder cases. Finley is a very intelligent young man, I'm hoping he follows the old man into the law. Lisa and Howard are looking as beautiful as ever, same as when I first met them in Napa in 2002.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I think I could drink Cristal with just about anything! Maine lobster is the best so I think that would work.

It was another spectacular summer day on the back deck, Chris, with champagne and lobster and longtime friends, like the ones I've had with you and Marjorie. You're welcome back up anytime, maybe we can get a gathering together when the man from Quebec comes down.

Good to see the Spector and the BD.

Howard and Lisa are great people, so can just guess that Finley is from the same mold.

Up to now, border still closed until July 21st i guess. I will have my second shot exactly that same day...

It was great to see the Benevolent Dictator ensconced in his Lewiston castle. Jim was obviously a generous host as the Cristal and lobster were both wonderful. Oh to be my 16 year old son and have your first taste of Champagne be Cristal.

On a separate note, while there, I personally inspected the USA’s strategic reserve of Lynch Bages and must report it is running low.

Lisa and I leave for France next week and a long delayed vacation.

See everyone in October.
