Tom In DC wrote: Thu Sep 16, 2021 11:53 pm Thanks again, Joel. We Venmo'd $300.

For entrees, Gail will have the chicken and I'd like the lamb. Do you need selections for the other courses?

Ciao,

Tom
No worries, Tom. Thanks

I'll note those. As far as I understand, I only need total head counts for each entree. Not for apps or deserts.

To keep it simple, I'm updating entree requests after receiving payment.

Anyone else that has already paid, please let me know your entree choice as well. Thanks

I have been out of touch with the world in the past couple weeks, Joel, I haven't really looked at this, looks like we have a choice of main course, I will go with lamb. Also, I don't know how to do things like Venmo, I'm just a country lawyer from Maine, am I able to send you a check, or can somebody walk me through it. I'm tied up through most of this week with 12 hour work days on the trial.

No problem Jim, don't sweat it. Sounds like a few people will have to pay with check. I'm leaning towards just having checks brought to either thurs or friday night instead of dealing with mailing. I'm not overly worried about it. If you prefer to mail and get it out of the way just send me a PM or email and i'll give you the address. I mostly just don't want to be responsible if anything gets lost.

Same for anyone else that wants to pay by check.

Jim, Zelle is easy if your bank supports it. Just log on to your bank account to see if you can transfer money to someone using Zelle.
Venmo is just a service that links to your bank account and allows you to transfer cash to anyone else with a Venmo account.

Check or cash at the event is totally fine, Jim. You have more important things to worry about, good luck with the trial!

No problem at all David, i'll make sure to note that for the kitchen. I know a couple others have shellfish allergies as well.

Updated, you'll be missed Bill and Jan. Lets get something on the books whenever you are starting to feel better this fall/winter. I need to get back out to NorCal and Oregon soon actually. I know MP mentioned something about a Nov 13th possible dinner in San Fran.

We're targeting 11/20 for the SF BWE event (although that is very subject to change).

And never, ever call San Francisco "San Fran". You can say SF, San Francisco, and even Frisco, but never ever San Fran.

Understood, I'm sure we'll talk about it this weekend.

And apologies, I had SF typed out but wanted to be more clear. I guess that "San Fran" is the equivalent of "Chi-Town"? Which is worse?

I'll definitely let you know. Where are your two places, Bill?

Do you plan to be there during the winter months as well?

Eugene and on Lake Mercer, Joel. We expect to be there sometime in November until early January. It depends on my treatment schedule and my University of Oregon collaborator's schedule.

I need to go to Oregon to collect K&L wine, I could time it with another BWE-wide gathering!

Having a BWE-OR gathering would be great, Patrick. First I have to get past the residue from my second ablation. If I cannot, I'll search for a good Death Doctor in Oregon.

Bumping this. See everyone around 6pm tonight!

First hour for toasting and mingling, there should be some cheeses and meats during that time.

The Detroit (formerly Chicago) contingent has checked in. The 05 Burgs are getting a couple of hours of air (but only in bottle). See everyone in a bit.
