The infinite sadness of Nicklasss

Post by Nicklasss »

As you all already know (or guess), I won't be able to go to the October 2021 BWE Washington DC convention.

I must say there are lot of reasons for that, and everyone know that i'm very sad I can't make it. I think it will be a great post Covid convention, with lot of people that are very important to BWE, old timers, as the friendly Bordeaux lover New Kids on the Block.

Basically, the covid international many tests to get in or out are just complicating things, and i have many expenses at the moment as Simone, my oldest daugther is starting private (see $$$$ here) high school, and i just bought a second car for my job.

You all miss me (especially some people like the Northway. Last time was in... 2009!), and your company is uncomparable. I'll have a toast to you all, on that October 2nd night.

I wish you all a great convention, with special moments and great memories.

Nic

Nic is translating from French
Vous allez me manquez translates literally to: you will miss me but means that I will miss you.
See google translation of:
Vous me manquez

Nicolas, tu vas nous manquer
Best

No Nic?! Muy triste. A G-rated Convention awaits. Nobody should bring any panty dropper wines! And who will give the sentimental speech? Maybe Nic can Zoom in for a live hello on Saturday night?!

It is a tradition that Nicola face chat calls me when he is not at a convention.

This damned pandemic, I've had just about enough of it.

Comte flaneur, "to be (in DC) or not to be?" That is my question to you.

"You only live once."

"Where there's a will there's a way."

Those are from Shakespeare, no?

Nic,

Their loss may be our gain. Interested in a rendezvous at La Girolle in QC the night of the convention. We'll be back in town the Friday and Say nights so either would be fine. Maybe JF to join us? I'll have my cousin and his wife along if covid doesn't restrict our travel for then.

Danny, i think that could be possible. I'll talk to MC and JeanFred.

I know that JeanFred is going to Chicago in October, to do the marathon. I can't remembe which day, but i hope a dinner early October can fit his training schedule.
