A bit boring. Kind of a caricature of California cab.
On the bright side, it had good balance, nothing over the top.
The 2015 Kistler Pinot yesterday was much more interesting.

With two of the lawyers from the defense team, Jesse and Stephen.
The wait continues....

Sounds like they’ve tamed the over-the-top oak in Silver Oak.

Between the Kistler and the Silver Oak, sounds like the restaurant has a pretty good pipeline for California wines (as compared to Bordeaux :))

Next time, talk the team into trying the Dalforno Romano Valpolicella. Not as intense as the Amarone but interesting and fun.

Yes I saw that, I was telling them my Dal Forno story just last night.
I'm sure I'll try it before we leave.

Any chardonnay recommendations?

Thé Tempier Bandol rosé at $79 is a bargain, I paid $56/per for two bottles a few months ago. It’s my favorite rosé and could stand up to any fish dishes.
I would try an Oregon Pinot Gris on the list.
