The Olympics (2016 Brunello, 2016 Montagne St Émilion and 2018 St Estèphe

Post by Nicklasss »

The 2016 Chateau la Vallée looked too good in comparison to the leftover of the 2018 Capbern. Well done, black and red fruits, tobacco, freshness and a nice finish of concentrated raspberries and a light coffee. Very good. Tn: 89.

The 2016 Barbi Brunello took 20-30 min to open, but beautiful wine full of bitter tart cherries, lots of herbs (thyme, mint, rosemary), a light purple fruit side on the palate, with tannins, freshness, and finish on red berries and spicy woodgrain. Excellent. Tn: 92-92.
