Tch Tch . . .

Post by Bacchus »

. . . so many BWE posters, including Assistant Managers, moonlighting! Still, a very interesting thread that I think is relevant for us here:

Wow! People post on other sites besides BWE.
Didn't know there was a world beyond our shores.

I always feel just a little betrayed when someone posts on a site other than BWE. I mean, it's a free world, and all. But for me, BWE is something different. We want your soul here. We want all of you. Our love for you is unconditional. We would do anything for you. And we expect nothing but complete loyalty. When we don't get 110%, a little part of the love inside dies....

ANYONE can post on a site like Wine Berserkers, or Squires, or whatever else is out there. Not everyone has wahat it takes to be a BWEer.

Vivre le BWE! Twelve years and going strong!

I've been finding lots of $10-$30 bordeaux that kick the butt of anything from California at any price (with a couple of exceptions, like Dunn). Yeah, you can't blindly buy Leoville Las Cases or Pichon Lalande for $40 anymore, but there are some damn nice inexpensive bordeaux that even make it to the wrong coast. That the Chinese are overpaying for anything with Lafite on the label doesn't bother me at all.

hey, I post on Beserkers once in a while but BWE is and always will be my main focus. Does this mean the BD may excommunicate me?

I am a kind and benevolent dictator, Mr. Vino. Your betrayal of BWE is on your conscience, not mine. My conscience is clear. Oh how my conscience is clear.

Hey, Jay, I read and post on various fora. BWE is the only place I read everything, and I too feel this is my true home. No guilt here. Jim may try, but he's got nothing on my dearly departed Jewish mother.

The biggest difference between Catholics and Jews isn't really belief in Jesus as the Saviour. It's the source of the guilt: God vs Mother. ;)

One of my favorite Woody Allen scenes is when he's converting from Judaism to Catholicism in Hanna And Her Sisters after he thinks he has a brain tumor.

won't work as I'm a Whiskeypalian but do attend Catholic services on occasion. "You know what they say about Episcopalians, where two or three are gathered, there's always a fifth!”
