I was thinking about putting scan codes on all my wines and into some tracking software for my cellar. You know, I take a bottle out and scan it, and the bottle gets deleted from my cellar stock, etc.
Anyone else use this?
Any thoughts?
Recommendations?
Thanks,

Bar code scanner system?
Re: Bar code scanner system?
Sounds interesting, but to tell you the truth, I'm to damn lazy to do something like that for myself; even if in the long run it saves you time! Besides, I like the mystery of coming across something I forgot all about.

Yes I stopped using Cellartracker and recently came across a 1995 d'Yquem and two mags of 2006 Duhart Milon I had no idea was in my cellar.

Ya, my favourite find is a bottle of 72 Ridge. Can't help but wonder what's going on in there.

Beautiful girls but where's Julien. Well done Nic. When you're in the neighbourhood give us a call!

Michael, CellarTracker has a barcode system. From what I hear, it works pretty well. Though I use CellarTracker, I don't use barcodes. You can probably find FAQs and some support/discussion on the CellarTracker site and forum.
