I bought some wine but it's not Bordeaux.
I got a case of Pol Roger White Foil and some bottles of Servin Chablis.
Summertime and the livin is easy.............

Guess I shouldn't mention my ventures into the Dark Side (aka Bourgogne)
Re: Forgive me BD for I have sinned...........
I was unusually good today. All I bought was some 1999 Billecart Salmon Cuvee Nicolas François. I passed on others that interested me, like 2012 Chevillon NSG VV (only $30!) and 2012 Jadot Corton Pougets. I was only slightly tempted by 2011 and 2012 LLC as the Burgundy Devil's influence is particularly strong right now.
But something that may draw the BD's ire is that Lucie and I enjoyed tonight a 2007 Sassetti Livio Pertimali Brunello di Montalcino. '07 is a pretty good vintage, but what I particularly like about it is that the wines are very fruity and pleasing young, so I have some Tuscany's to drink while waiting on other vintages I have to become approachable. (My Italian collection is poor; probably under 4 cases on site and not much more than that elsewhere. I am working on that, albeit slowly.)

Bought and drank a really nice bottle of 2010 Shafer Napa Merlot this week - great fruit on this one. I am not ashamed.
