TN: 2008 Montrose
Consumed quickly during family gathering last night.
Surprisingly pleasant.
Deeply colored but the color belied a medium-bodied effort.
Not any way in a juvenile funk.
Not showing any of the 2008 propensity for sharp edges and not-quite-ripeness.
Montrose just consistently excels.
Rating: 95 points.

Nope, just popped and poured.
This was probably my surprise of the night.
It was outstanding.
He Who Shall Remain Nameless liked it, he gave it 95 points.
I think Montrose is just making extraordinary wines in the past couple decades.

I'm so impressed by that 2008 Montrose, Bobby G, that I'm going to buy a bottle at MacArthur's for $99.
Re: TN: 2008 Montrose
A taste of the 08 Montrose was like drinking from the pit of despair a few years back.

Re: TN: 2008 Montrose
I have few bottles of 08 montrose including a magnum. After all, it was my oldest son's birth year...
Also, today I bought a lone bottle of 08 Haut Brion for the same reason...

Re: TN: 2008 Montrose
If 2008 Château Montrose is that good right now, does that mean that many 2008 are?
