Re: The cat
That label reminds me of a cartoon book my parents had called "The French Cat".
Words that contained the letters "cat" or "chat", such as catamaran and Chattanooga, were illustrated in the form of a cat.
As a child I loved that book.
edit: looking closer, I see the artist's signature is Sine, same as the book.

Re: The cat
After all these years, I finally discovered that Marie-Claude is cheating on me and have a secret. It has been very tough this last week, as I discovered everything last weekend...
After all these years, opening the best Bordeaux, and thinking our favorite red was Côte Rôtie, Marie-Claude couldn't keep it secret anymore : her favorite red is... Bourgogne. Yes, you did not missread, BOURGOGNE! I almost had a heartstroke. The sky fall down, the clear day became black, life doesn't worth it...
I'm still shocked, mad, lost confidence in everything. I told her, it was impossible, she answered it was hard to hide longer. I add some more, telling that story about Whuzzup_ in Napa 2002, that when he told to MichaelP, Jimhow and myself, he was preferring Red Bourgogne to red Bordeaux, we almost throw him out of Jim's car, while rolling at 60 mph!
Life is made of great and tough moments. This one is very very tough. But I will survive, we always survive... until the next hit...

Re: The cat
For the picture, i always see it the right side, not upside down. Don't know why, there seems to be variation.
By the way, it is not that I don't like Bourgogne. I like Bourgogne like some others like cigarettes: I know it isn't good for me, but a few times a years is acceptable and won't kill me!

Father Stefan to the rescue!
Re: The cat
Nic,
And you thought Bordeaux was an expensive passion.... just think about planning for the Bourgogne bank budget to satisfy that habit!! Good luck with that one. You've created a monster and now you really have a cat by the tail!
