Re: 2015 Marquis de Terme has been uncorked (again).
I bought a case of the 2000 back in the day when it was a really sturdy and powerful wine. Recent bottles have been spectacular--subtle and beautifully balanced, with lots of secondary notes. Hopefully the 2015 will follow a similar path. Sounds like it's off to a good start.

Re: Haut Marbuzet 2011
I've had the 1998 twice. Once in 2001 when it was quite good but not exceptional, and more recently in 2015 when it was really singing. Agree it is not the best QPR out there, though.

I went long on the 2000 of this wine, which was a huge bargain at around $100/case. It has been a very solid drink ever since. As I recall, Parker rated it at 90 points.

Re: TN: 00 Ch. Brown 'rouge' [Pessac Leognan]
I picked up a case of this wine on release in Paris. It was only $13-14/bottle with the very favorable exchange rate at the time. I agree, it is a really nice Pessac, well priced and way under the radar. Still have 6 bottles left. I was also favorably impressed with the 98 and 99 red. Apparently als...

The 1998 was no slouch either, although I haven't had it for a while. Still have a few somewhere.

Plenty of love here for Tour Carnet. I've been working my way through a case of the 2000. Loved it from the start, but it continues to improve.

Re: TN: 00 Haut Marbuzet [St Estephe]
I quite liked the '98 on two separate occasions--in 2001 when the oak component was fairly pronounced and last year when it had fully integrated. I had a very favorable impression of this wine both times.

Re: TN: 10 Croix-Mouton [Bordeaux Superieur]
I bought a lot of the 2005 Croix-Mouton, and it sounds very similar to your description of the 2010. A recent bottle showed a lot less oak, but the fruit has faded a bit as well, so I'm not sure there is a lot of upside in holding these beyond 5 or 6 years unless you are oak-averse.

I think it was Coca Cola that bought it in the 80s; by the 90s it was owned by Seagrams.

Re: a different 96....
I agree on this wine. I've had it within the last year and was very pleasantly surprised, noting some similarities to Bordeaux as well. I have had the 94 recently, which was enjoyable, if a tad less interesting than the 96. I also have a few bottles of some other mid-90s Mondavis, including three of...

Chasse, Yes me too. But I move around a lot in my career, meaning my wine is store in various places. I just happened to find a bottle of this recently that I had laid away some years ago.

Re: TN: Chateau Greysac 2005
I agree the 1990 Greysac is a wonderful wine. I just finished my last bottle, and it is still drinking beautifully. I remember reading an article about Greysac by Gerald Asher in Gourmet magazine in which he had a lot of good things to say about the 1990 too.
