Re: 2015 Ch. Bellegrave, Pauillac

I did not know that Château and this is a very sad report, especially when you describe where is located the vineyards. For fun, there is a Château : - Bellegrave in Pauillac - Belgrave in Haut-Médoc - Belles-Graves in Lalande-de-Pomerol - Bellegrave in Pomerol - Bellegrave in Médoc - Bellegrave, Mo...

Nice notes RPCV.

Count me as a huge fan of the 2016 Domaine de Chevalier rouge. I understand well your description and agree. What a nice wine, drinking with lot of pleasure already.

A winner. The 2015 is excellent too. The 2018 need so much time… to maybe become better.

2021 Beaucastel

After a few wines at 20$, it was time to open one at 5 times 20$. And it wasn't opened in vain, because this Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Beaucastel, my favorite estate (as Rayas is harder to find), was divine after 90 minutes of aeration. Its slightly opaque red color, complex and delicate nose of purp...

A nice Champagne and 3 so-so white

Saturday evening. Deutz Champagne: very good, with notes of white and yellow fruits, a touch of oak, and slight nutty oxidation, and very dry. Plenty of fine bubbles. Remains light and airy on the palate. 3 white wines were okay, but so-so… Note: I like fresh white wines and/or wines with a certain ...

Nice tasting and great report barsacpinci.

By reading, clearly a top tasting. Not surprise about the Mouton. Two nice 1989 Bordeaux. I’m a fan of Dunn, your 1997-1998 remind me why.
Nice performance from the Heitz.

Just missing an old Montebello… but your already drank really well.

Great tasting and notes Stuart.

I’m not sure i ever saw a P2 or P3 bottle, but look delicious.

The basic Dom Pérignon is a Champagne i like very much. The 1995, 1996, 2003, 2008 and 2013 have all been great to me. Just 2012 was a bitter sweeter so giving more young but less serious freshness.

2021 Lindes de Remelluri Rioja

For the price, I like this Rioja. Still young, a bit atypical as it's not heavily oaked with vanilla/balsamic notes. The 2021 Lindes de Remelluri is dark, with a nose of red fruits (concentrated cherries and raspberries), roasted coffee beans, black berries, and dry soil. Medium-bodied on the palate...

Savart, 23 Cherrier, 22 Chevalier 2nd

Last night, three excellent wines. The palate is wonderfully flattering, the bubbles providing structure, with...

That visit at Ducru Beaucaillou in 2015 was… i can’t find the right word… let say different, a bit like Angine de Poitrine. While i think Haut Brion is one of the most consistent top Bordeaux, i would say that Ducru Beaucaillou is less consistent with very high highs, and some wines that you can’t f...
