Re: potensac v le crock 05
Cool. My friend gave me a mag of 05 Potensac when I gave him a btl of Saxum. I remember 2001 Potensac to be one of the more impressive wine I drank. I bought it for $13 at K&L and had it few years back. The first day, it was just a simple young Bordeaux. However, the second day, the wine complet...

Re: 2005 Girardin Volnay
I had a feeling you bought it from the Costco as I have not seen this btl from anywhere else.
I am actually in Fremont, CA but in Sacto many times a month because my in-laws live there.

Re: 2005 Girardin Volnay
I got this at Roseville Costco and I believe it was less than $30.
I liked one btl I had and went back to Costco to get some more and it was obviously gone.

Re: TN: A mysterious St.-Emilion - Tour Peyronneau 2005
Otto, it was a different animal... there was no denying that it was a Bordeaux and it was lush, fresh and pure in terms of fruit quality. According to a guy who works at the local wine store here in San Jose, this particular cuvee has not seen any oak(!!). Not sure how true that is though... RP scor...

Chateau La Fleur Morange Mathilde is 100% Merlot. I picked up quite a few of 2005 at the Costco for $21 last year.
Few btls I tried so far has been fantastic and long lives ahead....

Re: Lady but I just like Ridge
I tried 77 Lytton Springs (prior to Ridge's purchase of the vineyard) last year for my wife's birthday and WOW, it resembled a nicely aged bordeaux with brambly fruit and velvety finish. Wish I had more....

Re: TN: 2007 Domaine "La Garrigue" Cotes du Rhone Cuvee Romaine
I have bought few btls from K&L at $12 and liked this better than St. Cosme CdR. A killer QPR and it is now my daily go-to-wine.
