One of the unsung heroes, stalwarts and sages of BWE over the years has been Alex Rychlewski here pictured at Pontet Canet in 2015

And with Patrick at Ch Margaux in 2021

I have never been to Bordeaux, was all geared up for the 2020 trip before Covid shut it down, and would be up for a France trip…and of course for DC as well but that hardly counts for me

I could probably make DC work whereas Bdx would take more planning / saving.

Not a bad idea Michael-P. Just got back from a splendid week in Paris, getting caught up.

Any enthusiasts up for a DC event fall 2024, as proposed by MichaelP?

I don’t want to rush anything, but sometimes summer pass by quickly…

I guess the weekend of the US election would be a good one, as i could be there to help protect the Capitol…

I'm in of course. I have a new place we could hang out as well. Week before election or right after the election could be good as DC tends to be dead at that time as everyone is out in the states.

The earlier the better for us as we will go from Texas to Oregon in the fall, probably not long after early voting begins. From Houston to DC there are direct flights. There are not from Eugene, so carrying wine is much more risky.
