Bordeaux is waiting for me....!

Post by greatbxfreak »

I will leave for Bordeaux in two days and stay for 16 days to taste the 2025 vintage (expect to taste 350+ barrel samples) and over 50 2023s from lesser appellations. I am very excited, I have to say. At the end of the trip, I will have a 3-day stay in San Sebastian and will have lunch at the 3-star Michelin Martin Berasategui restaurant outside the city. It's a gift to myself. I will celebrate my 80th birthday this year in December.

On the sad side, I will not participate this year in the "6" dinner at a well-known chateau in Pessac Leognan after participating without interruption since 2010. Well..., I didn't get an invitation this time. Instead, I will spend the evening at Chateau Dalem in Taillans (Fronsac), have dinner there, taste some beautiful wines, and take some magnificent pictures.

Happy Birthday, young man!
Sounds like I'll be just missing you, I'll be in Paris and London between May 4 and 17.
But first, off to Southeast Asia....
