Château de Ferrand, a Saint-Emilion grand cru classé, belongs to the Bich family, who made a fortune in introducing and selling Bic ballpoint pens around the world.

The daughter married Philippe Chandon-Moët, and they have invested in making Ferrand a well-known and respected estate, one visited by the BWE magical mystery tour.

The new label (starting with the 2024 vintage) is unique: it was drawn entirely with 7 blue Bic pens, each one able to write some 3 kilometers.
