Dining recommendations in Venice?

A lawyer friend of mine is going to Venice for three days, does any one have any restaurant recommendations?

We went out of season in January 2019 and stayed in the Gritti Palace Hotel. We enjoyed the food in the main restaurant and also ate one night in the lounge bar.

I have enjoyed Al Covo over the years. Overpriced and touristy (but what isn't in Venice) with great seafood.

For my 60th birthday we ate at Quadri right on San Marcos Plaza. Food and service were excellent as was the wine pairing. But it was extremely expensive, most we’ve ever paid at a restaurant by far
