YES I still drink Bordeaux...now and then!
I had this wine the first time a few years after release and then impressed me very much - tons of cassis, truffle in a smoky haze - complex and seductive. Re-tasted since a couple of times but always showing very much closed and sometimes a little disjointed.
Although slightly better now I think the wine is still very closed - lacking expression and depth with a rather short finish - even after 12h no noticeable improvement.

Hi Harry,
Nice to read from you again! How's your book on CNDP going??
If I remember well, you came along to Paris in June 2006 to meet a number of BWE members and you shared a bottle of 98 L'Evangile at "Laurent" with us. At that time I found it potentially very good but tight and closed. Alex and I were apparently much more lucky with the 1998 Léoville Barton last week!
