Served with grilled and marinated NY strip steak. Opened and double decanted about 4 hours before serving. Nose and initial flavors of casis and black plums; moderate, relatively soft tanins in the mid-range and finish, good length. Reminds me more of a 2010 than a 2009 with its somewhat more tanic structure and less intense fruit. This is a good wine, but not in the exceptional range. This is one of those wines that is somewhat difficult for me to judge. Parker gave it a 88-90 and several ratings on Cellar Tracker were much higher (easier to discount). Certainly be interesting to re-taste in 2-5 years and would appreciate other comments for those who have tried it.
