Bordeaux Wine Enthusiasts

Looking for some folks to enjoy some bottles with...all my friends are deep into Cali pinot, Burgundy or big Cali Cab.

I think you might be our first, MatthewB, but San Diego is always on our radar for a visit. How's the BYOB/potential offline scene there? (I'm guessing it's a target rich environment... )

Tom - SD is a great place to visit. I would say the BYOB is okay (compared to Chicago, my reference point), but it is a casual city so you can usually get around it. Some great restaurants, middle of the road on up to Addison (our gold standard).

I'm headed to DC for the Bears game in October with my family. Any recommendations of middle of the road restaurants with good wine lists? We are staying at the Gaylord Resort.

Matthew, I'm not the best resource for dining in DC, but there is some good info here.
