Still tickin

Hi, hope all is well with the board. The heart procedures went as planned. Neat new scar on the chest. It will drive the women wild.
This is the first day home after seven in the hospital. Even though no formal instructions, it's very obvious that in the near future, the cellar is safe. Hope to tip one with Arv and the Sacramento group in September.
Bill, got a hacker's email from you. FYI.
Tip one for me! See you, maybe next year.
Bill

I’m REALLY glad to hear that, Bill, I’ve been meaning to ask you about it.
Seven days, wow. Was it painful?

Speedy recovery Bill, the wines in the cellar can age gracefully till September, you’ll enjoy them soon enough.

Bill,
Never fun going under the knife and happy to hear that all went well. The wine will be that much better a few months from now with a little extra age and give you time to mend.

Wish you a speedy recovery Bill.
I only had a medium operation to one ankle in my life, and it was no fun. I imagine what could be the chest/heart... but i guess, you be quiet and healthy with no wines for the coming weeks, andwhen you'll start back to be more active, it will be for many coming years!
Take care my friend.

Welcome back, Bill. Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery.
Your thread title made me think of you as an always reliable and unpretentious Timex: takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Great news Bill and clearly a little knife work while you were asleep did not dampen your humor.

Fantastic news Bill!
Looking forward to a future convention, perhaps in the Pacific Northwest?

Thanks for the well wishes guys. I wish I had the strength to reply to thank all. Some quick replies.
Jim, the area of the operation surprisingly does not hurt unless I cough. What hurts is all the prohibition on movement and positions tend to put the entire body in shock. That is very uncomfortable.
Cluadius2. I suspect wine drinking will be very limited for a number of months, as I'm taking about 16 different drugs a day and I have a soft limit on liquid intake.
Tim I would love to do a convention in the Northwest. I know we are Bordeaux but Willamette Valley is much fun.
Glenn, it's only a matter of time.
Danny you are correct, absence make the wine taste finer.
It may be time to open the 1975 Lafite the senior partners gave me on passing the bar. If I learned anything, I won't live forever.
I'll be reading the board, but have little to offer. S
tay well my friends.
Bill

Billy: Open the goddamned '75 Lafite. If not now, when.
I'll bring one of my Lafites next time I see you, don't worry, it won't be your last.
I think, um, you've got something to celebrate.

I think I have 11 Lafites left in my cellar, I think uncorking one of them in the year ahead in the greater California area to celebrate William P's health is in order....
