I’m more than happy to do a split if y’all can get my share down to me in FL. I’ll cover my share of the shipping, of course.

I'll defer to Joel, I'm happy to do 3 or 4, whichever is fine with me.

Interesting. I have had both 1998 and 2014 VCC, but never together. Much as I love the 2014, my palate memory went a point or three higher for the 1998.Comte Flaneur wrote: ↑Mon Dec 13, 2021 10:55 pm The 1998 VCC came fourth tonight. Nothing wrong with it, but the 2001 VCC showed a bit better, and was a classier wine, while the LLC 1982 was the star of the show. The 1996 LLC just edged the 2001 VCC for second spot, a junior version of the 1982, on the same evolutionary track. I think the 2014 VCC is a better wine than the 1998, based on most recent experience.
Glad you had a great bottle of 1982. Some of them are just stellar, but I have had my share of disappointments with them. I can’t remember having tasted the 2001 VCC recently; I am checking with my usual sources for a bottle. Pricy though.

I almost busted that case of 2014 Conseillante. I'll hold off on it.

Ordered this morning planning to split it 3 ways, but happy to share if the logistics make sense. Is it worth shipping down 3 bottles for you?OrlandoRobert wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 2:03 pm I’m more than happy to do a split if y’all can get my share down to me in FL. We can figure it out once the bottles arrive in a week or two. Feel free to PM me or email me, OB. jdavidson6725@gmail.com
Also, for anyone interested, there is one case left at Saratoga.

OK first thing first, thanks for doing this for the group! I don’t wanna step on anyone’s toes, but if there is availability, I would love three or so bottles, we just need someone to ship them down to me in Orlando. I will pay for that shipping, of course.JoelD wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 3:58 pmOrdered this morning planning to split it 3 ways, but happy to share if the logistics make sense. I’m good with sharing - happy with anywhere from 3-6 bottles.

With 9 bottles of the 2014 Conseillante already, my Conseillante $$$ will be going toward other pricier vintages -- notably the 2009 and 2010, I think Conseillante handled the intensity of those years better than almost any other right bank producer.

Can’t believe you guys are lining up to buy this Rollandized swill!

I would love to share some 2014 wine with you OB. As long as it isn't a logistical nightmare, I'll be happy to make it workOrlandoRobert wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 5:12 pmOK first thing first, thanks for doing this for the group! I'll look into it and circle back when the wine arrives.

All kidding aside (am I kidding?), I think folks said Rolland was hired by La Conseillante starting with the 2012 or maybe the 2013 vintage.

He was involved, but the vintage saved the wine!

Thanks man, if the logistics are a pain, no worries.

I will try and post some notes in the next few days but it is a very busy week in markets this week. But the VCCs were served…wait for it…too cold…which gave the LLCs the edgeMusigny 151 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 2:42 pmInteresting. I have had both 1998 and 2014 VCC, but never together.
