2011 Union Des Grands Crus Bordeaux N.A. schedule

I received a flyer from Wally's that they are selling tickets to the event in L.A. (the public tasting seems to alternate years between L.A. and S.F.). While I skipped last year's tasting due to other priorities, I'm planning on attending this......love those tannins. Let me know if anybody else is attending.

Boston seems like a new addition to the schedule......I wonder who is hosting that event?

Do they sell tickets for tasting future vintages on a futures basis? If it turns out to be a poor vintage, the price of the tickets may go down. If the vintage is really good of course, the UGC tickets might sell like hotcakes.

The 2008 vintage correct? There should be some decent wines there.. Does anyone know when the 08's were bottled?

Yes, 2008 vintage.

I'm not sure about bottling.....I think there's a fairly wide date range, and would assume wines most are bottled by now.

David - for NYC, try Sherry-Lehmann....I think they've hosted the NYC event in the past.

Chicago has been arranged by Binny's.
LA - Wally's (on odd years; SF K&L on even years)
Boston - ??

I do know that the Boston tasting is at the Boston Harbor Hotel, though it is listed as trade only.

The UDG scheduled tastings are daytime trade tastings. In some cities, retailers host another tasting in the evening, but not all of the UDG members might be in attendence.
