Re: Cantemerle 04?
Yes,nripe, balanced... Youthful but not profound. A nice bottle of wine if you like a slightly herby note but with ripeness. Probably notnas good to my mind as the best 02s for about the same price.

Thanks Jono - I love the 05 and 06 and I've been offered the 04 at c£17 - fair price do you think?

Thanks Jono - I thought so too and will buy and will post a note. I love 04s generally and only Chasse Spleen has a been a minor disappointment.

Re: Cantemerle 04?
Richard,
It's interesting that (generally, nothing to do with Cantemerle or specific wines) you tend to love both '04 and '06. I have a friend, a wine professional, and the other day he said, "I hate '04 and I love '06!" I'm beginning to agree - I like '06 much better than I like or liked '04.

Re: Cantemerle 04?
I have found some 04s difficult and prefer their equivalent 02s if anything. Lagrange is one of these wines, not that the 04 is bad.
The 06 is for me too young but the good ones certainly have the potential. They are just a bit warm and full in some cases.
