2000 Chateau Sainte Colombe, Cotes de Castillon, en magnum.
Well this is drinking splendidly. It's got a little of the kung pao chicken (hat tip Arv) in the bouquet as I sometimes find in ripe merlot. Good cut and depth, medium bodied and medium concentration and perfectly ripe. Appropriately structured for its age and pedigree.
I seem to recall having this from 750 on release and the recollection is basically favorable, serviceable but not memorable.
This mag probably was a $20 or so MacArthur's drive-by pickup, when their selection of 2000 petit chateau was loaded with sure bets for the price. Those were the days. What would a "nostalgia" smilie look like?
Now I'm feeling like I should have tried to ship some mags, like the 03 Duhart and a couple of others, out to Hawaii.
