Cost will be $155 per person. Please make checks payable to me. If you have my address, it hasn't changed but if not, pm or email me. I'll post payments as I receive them. This should be a fun evening! Thanks everyone

Everything seems to be shaping up good.
All systems go.
Cherry blossoms.
Thursday night dinner being organized by Chris.
Friday night dinner being organized by Jay.
Saturday night dinner being organized by Tom and Gail.

Re: Friday night April 1st dinner payment information
Everything does seem perfect. But I can't help wonder if the 89 Lynch Bages will be willing to make an appearance after its repeat run-ins in years past with the 82 Pichon Lalande in our nation's capital???

I'm a little confused, Mr. Blanquito, are you alleging get the 1989 Lynch had struggled against the lot 1982 Pichon Lalande?
Surely you jest.

I've never had the 82 PL. Is that a blatant hint? Yes, it is.
Re: Friday night April 1st dinner payment information
Me either, Jay. That is strange, given how many great '82s I have drunk.

Re: Friday night April 1st dinner payment information
What is the wine theme for Friday night? Is it anything except Bordeaux?
Re: Friday night April 1st dinner payment information
But it is an Italian restaurant.
Re: Friday night April 1st dinner payment information
Perfect, I'm bringing Italian, two Campania. Montevetrano and San Gregorio Taurasi Riserva.stefan wrote:But it is an Italian restaurant.
Re: Friday night April 1st dinner payment information
What Montevetrano vintage, Patrick? We could bring another to compare and contrast.
Re: Friday night April 1st dinner payment information
I was thinking either the 2000 or 2003 Montevetrano, Tom. I think I have the 02 as well.

Re: Friday night April 1st dinner payment information
Is anyone else coming that hasn't paid yet? Guarantee is due Monday the 28th.
Re: Friday night April 1st dinner payment information
I just checked the cellar, I can't find the Montevetrano vintages above which I think must be off-site, but I did find the 2001 Montevetrano, so I will bring that in addition to the Taurasi.Blanquito wrote:I was thinking either the 2000 or 2003 Montevetrano, Tom. I think I have the 02 as well.

Re: Friday night April 1st dinner payment information
Since we are at an Italian restaurant, I am tentatively thinking about a couple of Brunellos - a 1999 Livio Sassetti and a 2001 Ciacci Piccolomino. Subject to change, of course.

Re: Friday night April 1st dinner payment information
I purchased that in 97,99 and 01, and thought they were all good. I think it tends to be a bit on the modern side and approachable young with lots of fruit. I'm guessing that the 2010 would be very good, given the vintage.
