A nice wine, maybe a bit young. Nice medium red color, the nose was mainly grilled oak, roasted dark red berries, red berries, concentrated red berries when you swirl. In mouth, a light style of Gevrey Chambertin village, with good acidity, good core of medium concentrated acidic rasberries, red berries, good tannins, some earthy tones, and again the grilled oak. Not bad, but at the same time, a bit "quelconque". Tn: 88.

Re: 2013 Bouchard Gevrey Chambertin
I am a great fan of well made villages 13s. We had wonderful examples in Beaune late last year. Drinking very nicely, unlikely the more structured 12s and not quite there 11s. A couple of nights ago, a Mongeard Mugneret Vosne-Romanee impressed. I think they drink well now and will keep doing so for a long time.
