Re: JimHow
Much thanks, Steve, you've been a great friend to Danny.
He was my kid brother, the youngest of the three Howaniec boys.
I'll miss him very much. He lived a great life, we had a lot of fun together.
I got to say goodbye to him last night and tell him that I loved him.
He fought hard to the end, but now he is in peace.
I appreciate your thoughts.

My sincere condolences, Jim. Siblings are so special.

Condolences from Jan and me, Jim. Even when it is expected, it is quite a blow when a sibling dies.
Re: JimHow
Oh Jim, I'm so sad to hear your brother passed away. If its any consolation, its good that you were able to be with and speak with him before he passed. Peace my friend.

Re: JimHow
So sad. Jim text me that this morning and i felt like my good friend was hurt. And it is understandable. Stay strong Jim, i can't imagine losing Alex... so feel a bit your pain and sadness. Our sincere sympathies from MC and me, to you, the family and friends.
Jim knows we also had kind of bad news lately, and taking one day at a time after a big shock, is the way to pass through these things the best we can.

Re: JimHow
Sigh, I couldn't go visit my brother at the hospital, I had to say goodbye to him via FaceTime, and now we've had to postpone his funeral services due to Covid exposure. Hard times indeed.
Re: JimHow
My sorrow and deepest sympathies for your loss of your brother.
I probably share some of your feelings as my brother died Aug 17th in the ICU, of Covid, and when the ER nurse called on Aug 15th I could only facetime her and him. When I packed Aug 16th, with a iPad to give to my brother, he was moved into ICU. I could not see him either. When I got to Florida from California he passed. I made arrangements and delayed any memorial, now going on for 5 mos. My family lawyer has his cremains that he is holding for me. Last Friday, I just signed/notarized a bunch of legal forms, affadavits, a motion for summary judgement etc... to settle his estate. I had bought the 5 acres he had with my dad and also bought the modular home (need trailer) long ago when my parents divorced and my brother moved to Fl. It's kinda odd that the land and house I had gotten grief over for paying years of taxes, prop upkeep/management has come back to me. I hope, post covid, to go back, fix it up, rent it below market to another military family that needs a place close to the airbase.
take care in Alaska, and know that my thoughts are with you

Thanks Gene, I share your pain. Off to the great north, I'll (hopefully) send pictures of the northern lights.
